Memorial Day

For Memorial Day we went swimming at the Abbott's house with Rees' family and Leanne. It was a lot of fun but the pool was too cold for Mary so she went in the hot tub which was like a bath. Then we had a bbq at our house and visited grandpa Romney's grave. It was great but now we are tired.

Camping & Boating at Lake Elsinore

On Friday we took Mary on her first camping trip to El Cariso campground near Lake Elsinore. It was a great campground! Cheaper than most and hardly anybody knows about it so it was totally empty. We had a great time around the campfire and eating great food. Mary slept well in her pack-n-play when she was wrapped up in a ton of blankets because it was kinda cold. I think it was probably in the 40's. After raining in the night it was hard to start the fire again so it was cold in the morning but it warmed up a bit.

Then we took the boat to lake Elsinore to test it out because Brian had recently done some repairs and we wanted to make sure it was running great. It was a funny ride because Mary slept most of the ride even when we were driving fast and it was windy and loud and bouncy. We all had a great time.

Mary Tests out her Lifejacket

We got Mary an infant lifejacket but we were not sure if she was big enough for it yet. We are going boating in June for the Olson family reunion in Hurricane. So I put her in the bathtub and she was just so happy!

Haircut

I got a haircut the other day. Now Mary will not grab my hair anymore. I also got a bigger diaper bag. It has a giraffe on it!

Mary Had A Little Lamb

Mary 1 Month

I can' believe Mary is already one month old! She is such a happy baby. We started to give her toys and when we give her all of them at once she gets so excited and I think overwhelmed. Brian has gotten her to put her weight on her legs and stand up with his help. She looked so concentrated and then really happy that she did it. She sleeps for about 3-5 hours at a time at night. One day we were out running errands and she messed her pants and it exploded so I had to change them but the only ones I had with me were three mont size so they were so huge!

Mary 3 Weeks

Mary is 3 weeks old today. She is learning how to use her face muscles and sometimes makes the strangest faces. She gets the scared or cross eyes look a lot but I don't really think she is scared that much. We have seen her smile a few times. It is great. We have tried giving her a pacifier but most of the time she doesn't like it. That is ok though. She sleeps for at least three hours at a time at night sometimes four and sometimes five. It is not that bad at all. She is such a good baby. She mostly only cries when she is hungry or if she wants some attention.



We took Mary outside on Sunday when she was wearing her pretty dress from Grandma Satko. The weather was so nice. She likes being outside if the sun doesn't get in her face because it is so bright. This was the first week we stayed at church for the whole three hours. We also took a trip to Brian's school and walked around while he was taking a test. She likes being in the stroller but most of the time she is asleep because of the car ride.
